In North Eastern Uganda lies a wilderness like no other in East Africa. Crossed by 2 season rivers, Kidepo valley is the most isolated national park in Uganda offering its visitors a semi-arid experience that comes with over 15,000 buffalos, over 1000 elephants, lions, Giraffes, and over 470 bird species including the ostrich, carcal, cheetah, bat-eated fox, the klipspringer and Abyssinian scimitar, which you won’t find anywhere else. This savannah stretches as far as eye can see and flows from the Elgon Mountains in the far distance.
Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Kidepo Valley
Morning
After breakfast at your Hotel, we’ll pick you up and embark on a 10 hour drive towards Kidepo Valley or a 2 hour Flight. On your way, enjoy the changing terrain of the land and have a stopover in Gulu for lunch.
Evening
Arrive at your lodge in Kidepo valley and check into your chosen accommodation, whether it’s a lodge within the park or a nearby campsite.
Day 2: Game Drive and Cultural Tour
Morning
After breakfast at your lodge, we take you on a 3 Hour game drive through the Narus Valley as you view large herds of elephants, zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife that congregate around the Narus River to drink and graze.
Afternoon
Enjoy a packed and continue on your way to Kanangorok hot springs where you’ll catch sight of more bird species and also have a cultural tour.
Evening
Drive back to your lodging and have a camp fire.
Day 3 Departure
After catching a beautiful sunrise over the valley, we’ll head back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport.
